All abducted victims of The University of Abuja have reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies, and The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.
Spokesperson of the Police Command Josephine Adeh reaffirmed the development in a pronouncement made public in Abuja on Friday.
Reports indicates that the hoodlums numbering more than a score had earlier attempted their way into the university staff quarters and charged away their victims.
Responding to the incident, Dr. Kasim Umar, The Chairperson of Academic Staff Union of Universities, Abuja branch, called on the Federal Government and security agencies for immediate rescue and release of all abducted members and staff of the university. He also expressed concern about insecurity and called for stringent and urgent measures to ensure safety in the community.
