The presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been rescheduled for June 6th and 7th.
This decision was made just a few hours before the exercise’s initial date, which was set for Sunday, May 29.
The APC made the declaration after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) granted political parties’ requests to extend the primary election dates.
INEC announced on Friday that the primary election dates would be extended by six days.
Earlier, political parties had requested for 37 to 60 days extension of the timeline for primaries and the nomination of candidates but the commission refused the plea.
