The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC today held protests across the country amid the prolonged strike by university workers.
The demonstrations took take place in all 36 states of the Federation while the Federal Capital Territory is expected to join the protest tommorrow.
In Kaduna State the protesting workers were at the state House of Assembly where the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Isaac Auta Zankai, thanked the leadership of the union for their patience.
Meanwhile the leadership of the Union has told the Federal Government to expect a three-day nationwide strike across all sectors if the crisis in the nation’s public universities is left unresolved.
Director of Information of the NLC, Comrade Benson Upah, who disclosed this in an interview with Citizen FM said the current national protest was to call for attention and for the issues to be resolved promptly.
