Nigeria’s representative, Mariestella Okpala won the Best National Costume at the just-concluded Miss Universe pageant in Eliat, Isreal. Okpala had won an outfit inspired by the ‘Mmanwa’ masquerade from Southeastern Nigeria on the international stage. The costume was designed by Filipino designer, Kennedy Jhon Gasper.
