The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has inaugurated a committee to review the existing guidelines on Accommodation and Catering services, aiming to enhance service delivery during the 2024 Hajj.
Mousa Ubandawaki, the Commission’s Deputy Director of Information and Publication disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
Ubandawaki noted that the Ag. Chairman/CEO Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi OON, fwc, while inaugurating the committee emphasized that the review is not a novel approach but a strategic move to enhance the performance of service providers for the benefit of Nigerian Pilgrims. He highlighted the need for dynamism and alignment with international best practices.
Arabi urged the Committee to approach the task with an open mind and a strong sense of responsibility, recognizing the potential impact of their report on the implementation of accommodation and catering services during the 2024 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Dr Aliyu Tanko, responding on behalf of the Committee members, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and acknowledged the challenging nature of the task.
He conveyed confidence in the Committee’s ability to fulfill the assignment effectively, underscoring the crucial link between their work and the outcome of the 2024 Hajj.
