FG Launches Digital Economy Employability Programme in 7 NYSC Camps
The Federal Government has launched the Digital Economy Employability Programme in order to create e-employment opportunities for Nigerian youths.
The program, which is aimed at Youth Corps members, began simultaneously in seven NYSC camps across the country.
Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, declared the program open at the NYSC Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, saying it is focused on providing Nigerians with modern and relevant digital literacy and skills that will expose, prepare, and connect them to in-demand career opportunities available in the global digital economy.
He added that the program is also expected to help Nigerians create job opportunities in the digital economy space, which would ultimately help increase ICT’s contribution to the country’s GDP.
