FG Tasks States, Stakeholders, Others on Aggressive Enrollment of Out-of-School Children

The Federal Government has called on stakeholders, States,local authorities and the private sector to collaborate towards ensuring an immediate aggressive as well as intensive enrollment drive for the eradication of Out-of-School children phenomenal in Nigeria.

The Minister of State for Education, Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu made the call while declaring open the maiden edition of the Basic Education Summit in Nigeria in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

According to a statement issued to newsmen by the Director of press and public relations of the ministry, Benjamin Goong, the Minister said that the National target is to reduce Out-of-School children numbers by at least a quota in the next two years.
