Maulud: CAN Congratulates Sultan of Sokoto, Muslims

Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, and all Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud.

The President of CAN, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, in a message to the Muslim faithful on behalf of CAN and the Christian community at large, called for promotion of mutual respect, understanding and peaceful coexistence among all religions.

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Dr. Yakubu Pam, enjoined Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammed as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud.

Pam, in a statement signed by NCPC Spokesperson, Celestine Toruka, also urged Muslims to adhere to the teaching of Prophet Muhammed by imbibing the spirit of inter-faith harmony in dealing with other faiths.
