The World Health Organisation, WHO says monkeypox infections continue to rise globally, with more than thirty five thousand cases across ninety countries and territories, and twelve deaths.
WHO Director General, Dr Adhanom Ghebreyesus, disclosed this while speaking at a news conference from WHO headquarters in Geneva on Wednesday.
“Almost seven thousand five hundred cases were reported last week, a twenty per cent increase over the previous week, which was also twenty per cent more than the week before,” he said.
