Osinbajo Thrills Audience at Tourism Conference with ‘Buga’ Song

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, thrilled participants at the World Tourism Organisation global conference in Iganmu, Lagos State when he took a moment from his address to engage the audience in a rendition of Kizz Daniel’s 2022 hit, ‘Buga’.

Osinbajo, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, spoke on the theme, ‘Linking Tourism, Culture and Creative Industries: Pathways to Recovery and Improving Development’.

He noted that cultural genres, including arts, music, crafts, dances, and cultural festivals cut across culture and language.

Osinbajo then started a rendition of ‘Buga’, which drew cheers from the audience.

Also, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has described as historic the hosting of the first United Nations World Tourism Organisation Global Conference on Linking Tourism, Culture and Creative Industries at the National Theatre in Lagos.

The Minister made the remarks in Lagos, yesterday, at the opening of the Experts’ Workshop of the event.

This is the first time the UNWTO would be bringing stakeholders in tourism, culture and the creative industries together at a single forum to deliberate on issues of common interest.
