Police Boss Vows Decisive Action Against Economic Saboteurs

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba has warned all economic saboteurs to either cease their unwholesome activities or be ready to face the full wrath of the law.

The spokesman of the force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said activities of those criminals were causing the nation huge losses.

He gave the warning in Abuja while addressing the newly appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the IGP Special Task Force on Petroleum and Illegal Bunkering, Lot Lantoh Garba.

Usman Baba ordered tactical and intelligence commanders of the force to deploy assets towards tackling perpetrators of economic crimes aimed at sabotaging and weakening the revenue-generating apparatus.

He warned the police operatives attached to the task force to be focused, committed and patriotic.

The Inspector-General of Police said the operatives should discharge their duties devoid of corruption, favouritism, and compromise.
