Police Clear Air on Abuja Estate Invasion

The FCT Police Command says the news making the rounds in some sections of the media space alleging that bandits attacked an estate in Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja, and abducted residents is erraneous.

The Command in a statement issued by the police public relation officer DSP Josphine Adeh set the records straight, stating that on the 6th June, 2022, a distress call was received from Queens Efab Estate, Kasana, Galadima Area that there was an ongoing armed robbery operation.

Operatives of the Command attached to Galadima Divisional Headquarters the statement added swiftly responded and upon arrival at the Estate, the robbers took to their heels.

The operatives however gave them a chase which led to them abandoning some items they had already stolen including some phones and laptops.

The command notes that the account of the incident in some News platforms negates the ethics and standards of balance reportage thereby feeding the public with inaccurate information about the incident.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Babaji Sunday, therefore, assures residents of the FCT Command’s commitment to their safety and of swift response to all distress calls.
