Pundit Slams Neymar, Calls Him “Biggest Flop in Football History”
Daniel Riolo, a French football pundit, criticized Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar following the team’s loss to Rennes.
Riolo claimed that Neymar’s performance in the first half of the season was only due to his preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and called him the “biggest flop in the history of football” in terms of recruitment, transfer, and salary.
According to Riolo, Neymar “Made fun of all the PSG supporters by having a good half-season because he had a World Cup to prepare for.
“In terms of recruitment, transfer, salary, it’s the biggest flop in the history of football,” Riolo said on After Foot RMC.
Despite scoring 15 goals and registering 12 assists prior to the World Cup break, Neymar has only contributed one more assist since the season resumed.
