Nigeria’s Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima has praised the Dangote Refinery during its unveiling at Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

He emphasised that the refinery serves as evidence that Africa is not solely defined by poverty.

Shettima encouraged other Nigerian businessmen and entrepreneurs to follow this positive example.

He commended the Lagos State government for creating a conducive environment for the project’s realization.

Shettima acknowledged that the refinery’s construction began in 2017 under President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership and expressed commitment to sustaining its progress under the incoming administration.

He expressed the hope that international media outlets such as CNN, BBC, and Sky News would provide extensive coverage of the event.

Situated in the Lekki Free Zone of Lagos, the Dangote Refinery is not only the largest refinery in Africa but also the world’s largest single-train refinery.
